The SCR emulator is fully compatible with most Euro 5 truck makes and models, including Mercedes, Iveco, DAF, Volvo, Scania, Renault, MAN and others. Different versions of the SCR emulator can also be used with Euro 6 and Cummins based vehicles.

An SCR emulator is a microprocessor-based device which imitates a fully working SCR system. They are typically used within countries where urea isn’t available for purchase or is impractical in use. By connecting an SCR emulator to your vehicle you are able to avoid costly repair and LIMP mode due to a malfunctioning SCR system, greatly improving the reliability of your vehicle. When installed, the SCR emulator will fully emulate every single component of the SCR system. That includes the SCR control unit, injector, NOx sensor, pump and SCR level sensor. The SCR system can be turned off with an SCR emulator regardless if it is damaged or not.

Whenever your SCR system is malfunctioning, your vehicle will go into LIMP mode and you will suffer a hefty repair bill (a couple of thousand euros) plus lose time on any current jobs at hand. You can save both time and money by simply purchasing an SCR emulator, which will make the repair unnecessary and save you a fortune on urea full-ups as well. You might also want to turn off the SCR system with an SCR emulator if you operate or sell trucks in a country that does not accept the European emissions standard (Turkey, Russia, African countries etc.)

Does every vehicle model need a separate SCR emulator?

Our SCR emulators can be programmed for most Euro 4-5 and Euro 6 vehicles, but there are special cases where specific emulators need to be used (such as for DAF LF, Mercedes-Benz Vario, Iveco ACCO etc.).

Can the SCR emulator be installed into a vehicle with a malfunctioning SCR system?

Yes, the SCR emulator will emulate every single component (including the NOx sensor), so even if the SCR system is heavily damaged, the vehicle will still continue to operate as normal.

Will the vehicle’s warranty be void if I install an SCR emulator?

Without question, yes, it is not recommended to install an SCR emulator while the vehicle’s warranty is still valid.

Is it easy to install an SCR emulator?

It often depends from vehicle to vehicle. Mercedes-Benz and Scania trucks have a harder time with SCR emulator installation since the cabin has to be lifted for the SCR emulator to be properly fitted. Other times proprietary plugs have to be used or wire cuts have to be made, but all of this can be done by anyone, as all of our SCR emulator installation guides include reference pictures and explanations.
